Now you have to be able to see all hidden files and be able to copy these hidden files.
#Turbo export database tecdoc windows 8.1#
On the old XP PC find C:/Progdata/eBay/Turbo Lister2 (it was called Progdata on XP if I recall correctly) and copy the Turbo Lister 2 subfolder to the Windows 8.1 C:/ProgramData/eBay. Now what you want to do on the Windows 8.1 PC is rename ProgramData/eBay to eBayold and create a new folder called eBay under ProgramData. In Windows 10, the TL program is in C:/Program Files (x86)/eBay/Turbo Lister2 and the Data is in C:/ProgramData/eBay/Turbo Lister2.

I do this to make sure the database is setup and has data and that the sync works and the TL install looks good. Then to get the data files setup on the new PC, do a file import from eBay all your active, sold and unsold listings into your inventory. The method I used was install TL on the new computer, set up the same user name in TL as you did on the old, do a regular installation. I still have the same partitions and TL data on the drive and have done the same move of my Vista to Windows 7/10. I would backup the D drive to an external USB drive. My computer was partitioned into a C: drive (System + Programs), a drive (Data), a M:drive (Media - music and videos) and a small P: drive (windows page file). I actually did a registry hack to keep my TL data folders on a drive where I had all my other data. I would do TL data folder backups as well as TL backup/restore. I suppose TL support disapproves of what I am about to post, lol. I have always tinkered with TL to figure out things I wanted to do and that was not the usual way. I am sure I posted about this some time back. I have done this many times, from XP to XP a few times, XP to Vista, Vista to Vista. TL has the programs in a program folder and the data in a data folder. All of these are subscription based it is possible to change PCs and do a folder backup of data and transfer the folders to another PC. To be fair, SixBit, CrazyLister, Auctiva, InkFrog and others also have import capability. I would think that that person/team can help you to import the old database into WonderLister. That program was designed by a prior associate of eBay (TurboLister). When Turbo is unsupported in June, many members will have similar questions.Īnother note: You might check out WonderLister. But the images will not transfer that way! If it can be done, the experts, at eBay, who know the inner workings of Turbo, can help you. Note: I can think of ways to try to do this, but have never tried it! You can "export" your inventory listings from the old Turbo and "import" them into the new Turbo. Now ask the experts! Email from your registered account email address (include your eBay userid) and ask them to assist you in moving your inventory records, from the old PC to the new. Once the new Turbo has installed and connected with eBay and downloaded your current active listings, Click on (in the new Turbo) Tools>Check for program updates. Edit.On Windows 8.1 you have to do that from the "Charms" bar. Now right click on the downloaded Turbo install file and select Run as adminstrator.

I suggest you use this link to download a currect version copy of TurboLister to the new PC - Note: If this does not work for you, repost and we will attempt to install the old version and update it.įirst before you install, Go to your Internet options in the Control Panel and click on the Advanced tab. A direct copy may "install" a copy of the database files that the current version of TurboLister does not recognize.Įven if you copy the old Turbo setup file setupUS.exe to your new machine, it may fail to setup properly when it attempts to connect to eBay because of the outdated version. With each update of TurboLister, fields may have been added to the database files. I doubt that a direct copy of your database files will work for you.
